Driver role at Nuffield Health. Bristol HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Permanent contract | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | Salary up to £24,358.47 per annum depending on experience.
Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you have a full driving license with a C1 entitlement which allows you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tons Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and hold a digital tachograph card, you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity.
Responsibilities
* Collect and make deliveries to our customers.
* Keep equipment & delivery vehicles in good working order and report any faults / defects
* Keep a clean, tidy work environment and identify stock issues as they arise
* Maintain accurate tachograph records and documentation
* Be flexible with your working hours (shifts operate between 4am and 9pm, Monday to Friday with varying times on Saturdays.)
Qualifications
* Full driving license with a C1 entitlement which allows you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tons GVW and hold a digital tachograph card.
* A full Driver Qualification Card (CPC) is advantageous but full training is available.
* As a Driver on our Bristol HSSU team, you’re comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. You’ll have a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation, and ideally hold a driver digital tachograph card.
* You’ll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers’ first point of contact.
