Hours - Full Time 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday Administrating and supporting the coordination of the fulfilment and accurate recording/analysis of purposeful activity spaces across HMP Fosse Way, ensuring the right prisoners are engaging in the right activities, at the right time; as directed by their Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) whilst ensuring performance targets are met / exceeded Main Accountabilities Contribute towards the implementation and fulfilment of the purposeful activity strategy, maximising opportunities for prisoners to engage in work, education and training that will benefit their rehabilitation and the efficient running of the prison To provide administrative support for all areas of the Learning and Skills Department To always ensure that all scheduling records are complete and input onto CMS, and appropriate local recording systems, including manual and electronic files. Identify those prisoners eligible for education and activities and start to process in line with the relevant timetables. To ensure that all activities places are allocated To work as part of the team in an efficient and professional manner To communicate to all colleagues, throughout the prison in an appropriate and professional manner To understand all relevant policies and procedures and provide help and support in all areas of the function as required by your line manager To demonstrate a positive attitude to change and show flexibility in the workplace. To ensure a high level of security and confidentiality is maintained in relation to staff and prisoners, and that all information, both written and oral, is treated confidentially. To administer all systems within the department Produce reports as requested To maintain accurate records of all actions taken Enter appropriate figures for all your areas of responsibility onto the month end report by the specified date Daily filing and archiving of records when required To undertake other duties as directed by senior management. Qualification Essential: GCSE C in Maths and English Desirable ECDL/IT qualifications Experience: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages Good working knowledge of databases Demonstration of flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure Skills and Abilities: Able to form good working relationships Able to work independently and as part of a busy small team To solve issues at the earliest stage, presenting solutions to mangers when required To adhere to Data Protection at all times What you need to do the role: Excellent IT, written and oral communication skills Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload Ability to work under pressure Able to reflect on own performance and to strive for continuous improvement To maintain professional relationships with colleagues from other areas To ensure that information and data, processing, storage, and transmission of systems and processes are managed appropriately and in guidance with data protection and Serco policies.
