Join Our Team as an Assistant Stores Person!
Are you ready to play a vital role in our operations? As an Assistant Stores Person, you will be the backbone of our yard and stores, supporting the Stores Person in managing everything that moves within our facilities. Your collaboration with supervisors and operatives will ensure the smooth ordering and distribution of materials and supplies essential for our field operations. Together, we will implement best business practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost performance!
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Maintain Order: Establish and continuously monitor the depot and stores location, ensuring top-notch housekeeping.
* Support Operations: Issue all stock to Operations teams promptly.
* Record Keeping: Accurately capture and record all stock issued in Sage.
* Monitor Stock Levels: Regularly check stock levels to ensure availability.
* Manage Supplies: Store, catalogue, and distribute supplies, arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and packages.
* Build Relationships: Ensure strong relationships are in place to source strategic stock at short notice.
* Prioritize Safety: Ensure appropriate PPE is available to maintain a safe working environment.
* Supplier Compliance: Ensure suppliers meet delivery specifications.
* Verify Deliveries: Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders.
* Health & Safety: Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards within the yard.
* Deliver Materials: Transport stores and materials to various operational sites across the region.
Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
* Safety Awareness: Adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Licensing: A valid telehandler license is essential.
* Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with Excel, Word, and email.
* Operational Knowledge: Understanding of materials needed to maintain operations.
* Stock Management: Experience with Sage stock management.
