About the Anne Robson Trust
The Anne Robson Trust exists to improve the experience of dying for patients and those close to them. We help people talk more openly about death, and we work with healthcare organisations to provide companionship and comfort in the final days of life.
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, creative and entrepreneurial Head of Fundraising to help us grow and diversify our income as we enter the next stage of our development. This pivotal new role will shape and deliver our fundraising strategy, lead and mentor our small but ambitious team, and build relationships that turn ideas into fundable opportunities. As a small charity, we’re looking for someone who can combine strategic vision with a willingness to get stuck in and make things happen.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and Director of Operations to develop new income streams and strengthen our relationships with individuals, corporates, trusts and community supporters. You’ll also lead and support our Fundraising Manager, who oversees trusts and foundations, fostering a collaborative approach that aligns fundraising activity across all income streams.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and steward relationships with major donors, corporates, trusts and community supporters.
* Develop compelling proposals and partnership offers.
* Lead campaigns and events that raise income and awareness.
* Support the development of legacy and in-memory giving.
* Provide clear leadership, mentoring and support to the fundraising team.
* Ensure compliance with all fundraising regulations and GDPR.
* Report on progress, pipelines and opportunities.
How to apply
Before we review CVs or invite anyone to interview, we ask all candidates to send a short voice recording (audio only). This helps us get a feel for how you think and communicate, and keeps the early stage of the process fair, simple, and low-pressure.
What to do
Please record a single audio message (on your phone is absolutely fine) answering the question below.
We’re listening for energy, spark, humility, creativity, and an instinctive “leave it with me - I’ll find a way” attitude. We’re not worried about background noise, audio quality, or polish. Maximum recording length: 90 seconds.
Tell us about something you’ve done in the last year that you’re genuinely proud of - work or life. What made it meaningful for you?
If you need an alternative format for accessibility reasons, just let us know, and we’ll make it work.
How to submit your application
* Please upload your audio file (MP3, M4A) and email it to pa@annerobsontrust.org.uk with the subject line: HoF Audio – Your Name.
* Along with the audio, please also attach your CV.
We’ll review all audio submissions before reading CV’s. Candidates who show the spark, warmth and entrepreneurial approach we’re looking for will be invited to the next stage of our recruitment process.
