12 month secondment/fixed term contract Base – Norseman House, South Queensferry, Edinburgh (East ACC) The Ambulance Control Centre in the Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking a dynamic experienced Service Manager to join the team leading the Unscheduled Care service for a 12 month period. Working within the National Operations Directorate the postholder will be part of the Senior Leadership and Management team in ACC who are responsible for the operations for answering 999 calls and dispatching resources to patients in Scotland. They will also support the planning and coordination of new and ongoing improvement initiatives through the 12 month period. Ideal candidates will possess the drive and enthusiasm to deliver results proactively and reactively and understand the key issues and challenges facing the Scottish Ambulance Service. It is essential that you possess strong interpersonal, communication, planning, organisational and analytical skills along with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. You should be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and can build, develop, motivate, mentor and lead teams. You must evidence proven leadership and management of complex multidisciplinary and multilayered teams ideally within NHSScotland or similar.
