Caretaker/Security Officer (Public Sector) VANRATH are excited to be working closely to support with the role of a Caretaker/Security Officer for a well established client within the local authority. This is initially a 3 month assignment, with possible extension Responsibilities Cleaning of premises, which includes all parts of the building and preparing and laying out the Centre/Halls as the occasion demands. Ensuring that the Centre/Halls are opened as required, and to monitor audience numbers as required. Attending before, during and after functions to see that order is maintained and the conditions of letting enforced. Operating and maintaining the Heating Plant and checking oil levels. Operating the stage lighting and sound equipment and other Centre/Hall and Council equipment when required. Full range of security duties in the Centre/Hall including: door control, surveillance and checking before, during and following events; checking and securing of premises after events and opening/closing times. Assisting the Caretakers in Town Halls and providing for their absences when required. Ideal Candidate Have a minimum of six months experience to include all of the following:- Use of industrial/commercial cleaning equipment Keyholder and securing premises Dealing with members of the public Carrying out administrative duties Must be available to work outside shift rota, at weekends, evenings, public holidays, irregular/unsocial hours. Due to the keyholder responsibility of this post must be able to attend emergency call out's within 15 minutes when rotated to cover. Basic AccessNI clearance will be needed.
