Lusona is delighted to be partnering with Waterfront Fluid Controls Ltd to source a talented and hands-on Finance Manager to join their growing team in Glasgow.
About the Company
Waterfront Fluid Controls Ltd is a specialist designer, manufacturer and installer of fluid control equipment. With a strong presence across UK utilities, environmental and flood defence sectors, as well as a growing international footprint, the business continues to expand its offering and operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, with a dotted-line relationship into the parent company in India, this is a key, hands-on finance role within a small but high-performing team.
You will take ownership of financial reporting and play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information to group stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of quarterly management accounts to strict group reporting deadlines
2. Managing and developing a Finance Assistant
3. Overseeing quarterly and annual audits
4. Full responsibility for VAT returns and bank reconciliations
5. Preparation of budgets and forecasts
6. Conducting revenue and financial analysis
7. Supporting the implementation of a new finance system in the near future
8. Managing CIS accounting, including subcontractor payment processes
9. Utilising Sage Line 50 for day-to-day finance operations
Candidate Requirements
10. Proven experience in a hands-on Finance Manager or senior finance role within an SME environment
11. Strong track record of working to tight reporting deadlines
12. Experience with Sage Line 50 (or similar systems)
13. Working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) accounting
14. Confident communicator, capable of liaising with both UK and international stakeholders
15. Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a standalone-style role with team oversight
