Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer duties
12. Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault finding
13. Completing plumbing and gas repairs across commercial sites
14. Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
15. Installing pipework, TMVs, water heaters, and plumbing systems
16. Commissioning and testing commercial heating and hot water systems
17. Completing servicing, inspections, and compliance checks
18. Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs
19. Supporting mechanical refurbishment projects
20. Updating records using mobile and tablet systems
21. Working safely within school and public sector environments
22. Supporting wider compliance and remedial works alongside mechanical and electrical teams
Commercial Gas & Plumbing Engineer requirements
23. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
24. Commercial and Domestic Gas qualifications including:CCN1CENWATCODNCCO1CDGA1CIGA1
25. Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3)
26. Minimum two years’ experience within a similar role
27. Full UK Driving Licence
28. Experience carrying out fault finding and remedial works
29. Good communication and client-facing skills
30. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
31. IT competent using handheld or tablet systems
Desirable experience
32. Experience working within schools or public buildings
33. Electrical safety awareness
34. IPAF or PASMA
35. OFTEC
36. Experience working on oil-fired systems
37. Air source or AC knowledge
Working hours and overtime
38. Full-time role working 40 hours per week
39. Expected on site from 8:00am daily
40. Earlier starts may be required depending on client requirements
41. Time and a half after 6:00pm Monday to Friday
42. Time and a half on Saturdays until 12:00pm
43. Double time after 12:00pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday
44. Weekend and out-of-hours call-outs paid door-to-door
