Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) supports customers through the full lifecycle of assets from pre‑commissioning to decommissioning, focusing on corrosion reduction, efficiency improvement and throughput maximization. The role is based in Baker Hughes’ Welshpool facility and involves both on‑shore and offshore operations.
Job Responsibilities
* Participate in pre‑job briefings and ensure familiarisation with the work scope.
* Brief subordinates on duties, risks and HSE procedures.
* Assist in preparation of equipment at the Baker Hughes Welshpool facility as required.
* Execute orders, instructions and directions from the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
* Maintain equipment daily and ensure readiness for job execution.
* Communicate effectively with the client representative and Operations Manager.
* Prepare field paperwork, including daily reports and timesheets.
* Contribute to continuous training and qualification improvement within the department.
Qualifications
* Substantial experience as an On‑Site Machinist, including offshore experience.
* Excellent safety attitude; participation in all company safety programmes and adherence to all policies.
* Passion to learn and develop skills in other Process and Pipeline Services service lines.
* Willingness to work outside of Australia when required.
* Full ECITB TMJI certification 10, 11, 18, 19 & 20.
* Ability to work with little to no supervision and display natural leadership.
