Our client is looking for an organised and motivated Office Administrator to join their growing and fast-paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and can confidently support the day-to-day operations of both the transport and warehouse departments.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Logistics Manager, providing administrative and operational support across a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Booking transport jobs and scheduling deliveries
* Planning and allocating drivers and vehicles
* Booking loads in and out of the warehouse
* Processing driver timesheets
* Using telematics and tachograph analysis software
* Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally
* Pricing jobs using internal booking systems
* Ensuring monthly purchase orders are received and processed
* Carrying out general office administration duties
Skills & Experience Required
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehouse administration would be advantageous
Additional Information
This role includes participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends. This is currently approximately once per month, although this may change. An additional payment of £250 per month is provided for on-call duties.
