Position: Design Manager
Location: Manchester
Contract: Contract (outside IR35) or Permanent
Shape tomorrow’s water infrastructure while leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary design team
PURPOSE
Manage designers and design delivery across multi-disciplinary teams within the water industry ensuring time and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
1. Manage, direct and develop engineers, CAD technicians and graduates
2. Grow the design team and maintain a positive ethos and attitude within the team
3. Lead the design process on multidisciplinary water industry projects
4. Challenge, improve and shape formal processes and procedures for design team and ensure work is undertaken using them
5. Identify and implement appropriate software packages, and drive the use of BIM and 3D modelling where necessary
6. Ensure team produce design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements and are fully integrated
7. Ensure team produce design deliverables within agreed timescales and hours
8. Ensure team use appropriate standards, best practice and software tools
9. Ensure project change for design packages is fully recorded
