Job Description
The Finance Manager will have a wide range of duties including:
* Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
* Maintain the financial health of the organisation.
* Develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organisation.
* Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
* Manage the preparation of the company's budget.
* Oversee a small team of 3 in finance, overseeing all the day to day transactional duties of the team.
* Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
* Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Finance Manager' should have:
* A Professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA
* Experience of managing a small finance team
* Proficiency in the use of financial management software.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
* Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
* A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
* Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
