Outreach Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Outreach Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated SEMH School located in Bournemouth, Dorset. The school supports pupils with SEMH, ADHD, and Autism.
This role offers a great opportunity to help enrich and develop children's lives while improving attendance and attitudes towards learning.
As an Outreach Teaching Assistant, you will be involved in undertaking learning activities both on-site and off-site with pupils of varying abilities, including:
1. Preparing and adapting resources to ensure differentiation and access to the curriculum.
2. Delivering activities in classroom settings, sometimes without a class teacher present, with support from a teaching assistant.
3. Identifying and risk-assessing suitable off-site venues for learning activities.
4. Monitoring and conducting dynamic risk assessments during off-site activities, taking necessary actions to address any risks based on student engagement and external factors.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in education is required, ideally within the SEN sector, although this is not essential if you have the right attitude and desire.
* Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
* A passion for working with children with SEMH.
* Proactive in the classroom and willing to participate in class activities.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
* Level 3 Qualifications, ELSA Qualifications, or Degree.
Eligibility Requirements:
* Right to Work in the UK.
* Full UK Driving License and Business Car Insurance (essential for off-site activities).
* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
* Two professional child-related references.
