Role Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Material Planner to join the UK leading trailer manufacturer.
This is for an initiative-taking individual to deliver excellence and added value to the business.
The role is an in person office based role with the ability to work at any of our Ifor Williams Trailers Sites across North East Wales.
This role is an integral part of a pivotal team overseeing an annual spend more than forty-five million pounds.
The position is open to Graduates who are looking to forge a career in Manufacturing Supply Chain and Materials Management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analysing and maintaining the MRP System and data integrity.
* Issue Purchase Order Schedules and rolling Forecasts for production direct, consumables and Kanban components.
* Provide accurate information to Suppliers and the IWT Operations Team.
* Daily planning of incoming raw material & bought-in-parts from Suppliers to meet the production plan.
* Responsible for Supplier contact in relation to Order Management, Forecasts, and general Commercial enquiries.
* Take immediate action to minimise potential disruption to the production lines.
* Take action to identify data error trends and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and control automated system whilst compiling reports for Management.
* Establish and maintain receiving windows for material deliveries.
* Monitor Supplier Performance and communicate in a weekly KEY Performance Indicator to the Purchasing & Materials Manager and Operations Department.
* Challenge and questions Suppliers for levels of unsatisfactory performance.
* Stock control management. Continual review of inventory levels versus business requirements by Trailer Model recommending inventory level alterations.
* Risk awareness, Reporting, Governance and Project Management first principles.
* Daily/Weekly KPI: Inventory Turns, Supplier Schedule Adherence – Quantity, Quality and Date.
* Strong focus on process implementation, data mapping and analysis.
