Physical Security Manager (Contract) - SC Cleared
Location: Bristol / Yeovil
Day Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35 preferred – negotiable depending on experience)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Manager to join a high‑profile organisation in Bristol on a contract basis. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure, supporting critical operations and maintaining best‑in‑class security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all aspects of physical security operations across the site
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities
* Oversee access control systems, CCTV, guarding, and incident response processes
* Manage third‑party security vendors and contractors, ensuring SLA compliance
* Coordinate and lead incident investigations and reporting
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure aligned security strategies
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
* Support business continuity and crisis management planning
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Physical Security Manager / Security Lead role
* Strong background in corporate, critical infrastructure, or high‑security environments
* Experience managing security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarms)
* Knowledge of risk management frameworks and security best practices
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience managing security suppliers and contractsRelevant certifications (CPP, PSP or equivalent)
* Experience working in regulated or sensitive environments
* Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 27001 or ISO 22301
* Crisis management or incident response leadership experience
