1:1 Tutor – Coalville Area Location: Coalville and surrounding areas Position Type: Part-Time / Flexible / Self-Employed Opportunities Available Hours: School hours (typically 9:00am–3:00pm) Pay: Competitive hourly rates based on experience and qualifications About the Role We are looking for passionate and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people across the Coalville area. Tuition will be delivered either in pupils' homes or within school settings during school hours. This role is ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, teaching assistants, mentors, and education professionals who are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational outcomes. Many of the pupils we support may have additional needs, gaps in education, SEND, SEMH needs, or require personalised learning programmes outside of mainstream classroom settings. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions. Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and academic skills. Plan and prepare lessons aligned to pupils' targets and abilities. Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records. Work collaboratively with schools, parents, carers, and other professionals. Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment. Subjects Required We welcome applications from tutors able to deliver: English Mathematics Science Primary Curriculum Functional Skills GCSE Subjects SEN-focused interventions Essential Requirements Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage and motivate learners on a 1:1 basis. Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within the Coalville area. Desirable Skills and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or EBSA.
