We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated full time Senior Therapy Assistant to join the St Neots Community Rehabilitation Team based at The Knowledge Centre, Wyboston Lakes.
You will be fully supported by physiotherapists and occupational therapists delivering therapy to patients with primarily physical disabilities. The therapy service within the Community Rehabilitation Team provides rehabilitation, housing adaptations, moving and handling to adults over years and works alongside nurses, mental health practitioners and other multi-disciplinary professionals in the Cambridgeshire area.
Main duties of the job
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. 1. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work within the Community Rehabilitation team to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
2. You will be required to support with mobility and appropriate exercises, activities of daily living (ADL’s) and provision/evaluation of equipment to facilitate independence and reduce risks as well as completing falls prevention interventions where indicated.
3. You will be supported by a registered professional to carry out appropriate and delegated assessments, treatments and identify risks whilst working in the community.
4. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance our team.
