Senior Project Manager – UK Defence, Science and Technology
Location: Fort Halstead, Kent. 37 hours per week, hybrid (3 days on site).
Overview
QinetiQ is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a High Value Weapons Research and Development portfolio within the Advanced Weapons IDT. The role delivers new technology to the MOD and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers.
* Deliver project outputs to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales).
* Maintain forecasts (financial and resource demand) for sales and delivery reflecting up‑to‑date expectations.
* Apply governance requirements (lifecycle, project & independent reviews) for foundation sales and delivery work.
* Lead bid activity and opportunity development.
* Lead cross‑functional teams, build working relationships with customers and QinetiQ teams, support team leaders and stakeholders, and collaborate with operational and engineering teams to advance technology.
Essential Experience
* Leading business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function and successfully delivering complex projects.
* Leadership – influencing and aligning others towards the vision, empowering and inspiring people to achieve success.
* Stakeholder Management – identifying, planning and implementing actions to positively engage parties with an interest in the project outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
* Demonstrable capability to APM or equivalent.
