Job Title: Pre-School Room Leader (3-5 years)

Salary: Up to £31,590 per year
Randstad is excited to partner with a fantastic, homely nursery in East Grinstead. A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Pre-School Room Leader to join our dynamic team, leading the 3-5 year olds. We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic practitioner to take full responsibility for the Pre-School Room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years care in line with EYFS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead other staff members in the Pre-School Room.
* Maintain full responsibility for the Pre-School Room following EYFS guidelines.
* Keep up-to-date records for each child, including medical and developmental documentation, and review monthly.
* Ensure smooth handovers to parents, providing daily updates on activities, meals, and personal progress.
* Collaborate with the SENCO Coordinator for children requiring additional support, completing all necessary forms (e.g., play plans).
* Ensure compliance with fire regulations by logging children in/out of the register.
* Support and implement the development of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (e.g., NNEB, CACHE Level 3) (required).
* At least 1 year of experience as a Room Leader and 2 years of experience in childcare/nursery settings.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and experience in its implementation.
* Experience with online learning journals (useful but not essential).
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00 (1-hour lunch break)
