Overview of Role
As the Installation Field Engineer (internally titled as Project and Field Engineer), you will install and activate a range of network and telecoms services at customer premises across multiple sites, both existing and new; throughout the UK. This includes broadband, fibre, SIP, VoIP, and LAN/WAN solutions. This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines technical expertise with customer interaction, requiring a professional approach and strong attention to detail. You will carry out site surveys, configure and test equipment, resolve issues, and ensure all installations meet quality and health and safety standards.
While the primary focus of the role is installation, you will also provide 2nd line technical support where required—assisting with escalated faults, carrying out advanced diagnostics, and supporting the wider technical team to maintain high service standards.
