Highways Engineer needed in Doncaster Paying £45 per hr ref 000B 03B1 / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Act as project/programme manager for highway maintenance and improvement schemes Supervise and provide technical oversight to Clerks of Works and site-based staff Plan and deliver works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification Apply strong engineering judgement to make informed technical decisions on design, materials, and delivery methods Undertake and oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and feasibility studies Promote and implement preventative maintenance techniques to extend asset life and reduce long-term costs Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards Prepare and review technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to verity@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number.
