Paraplanner Location: Heaton Mersey / Home (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus
Working Hours: 34.5 hours per week

The Role As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting the advisory team in delivering well-researched, compliant, and technically robust financial planning solutions. This position involves detailed analysis of pensions and investments, preparing suitability reports, researching products, and contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of advice delivered to clients. You will also assist in technical queries, support project work, and contribute to compliance standards across the business.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner or someone progressing towards Level 4 Diploma status to take on a varied and technically engaging role within a friendly and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full paraplanning support to advisers across both private and corporate client cases
Review and validate information gathered by advisers, ensuring accuracy and FCA compliance
Conduct detailed research into products, funds, and solutions aligned with client needs and risk profiles
Produce high-quality suitability reports, letters, and supporting documentation
Analyse existing client portfolios using internal modelling tools
Assist advisers with preparing and completing paperwork for client meetings
Undertake project work as assigned by the Paraplanning Manager or senior leadership
Maintain strong commercial awareness through ongoing technical learning and industry engagement
Provide technical guidance to the Client Relations (administration) team and support compliance activity where required
Offer occasional telephone cover to the Client Relations Team depending on business needs
Experience and Qualifications Experience:
Background in paraplanning within financial services
Strong knowledge of personal financial planning, pensions, and investments
Understanding of office processes and administrative procedures
Experience using industry software (desirable)
Qualifications:
Level 4 Diploma (desirable); part-qualified candidates encouraged to apply
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
