Join Our Team as a Contract Manager!
Location: Catterick, North Yorkshire (with regional travel across the North East)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + car allowance
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week - flexible working)
Travel: Approx. 60-70% field-based, remainder office-based
About the Role
Are you an experienced Contract Manager with a passion for grounds maintenance or soft landscaping? Do you thrive in secure, high-compliance environments like the defence sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at idverde, the UK's leading green services provider!
In this pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee the delivery of services to a major client in the defence sector, along with a portfolio of commercial and housing association contracts across the North East. You'll manage operational performance, client relationships, compliance, and financial growth while leading a dedicated team of 40 staff, including two Contract Supervisors and subcontractors.
Your Responsibilities
* Take ownership of a dynamic portfolio of contracts across the defence, housing association, and commercial sectors, delivering high-quality, compliant services.
* Lead a team of 40 staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
* Manage contract P&L with budgets of up to £3 million, spotting opportunities to expand services and improve profitability.
* Operate confidently in secure, regulated environments, ensuring health & safety and SHEQ standards are met while building strong client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing complex commercial contracts in grounds maintenance or landscaping, ideally overseeing multiple clients.
* Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting and profitability.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and communicate effectively with clients.
* Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple clients, with a full clean UK driving licence.
