Our purpose is always to inspire That New Look Feeling and we believe that starts with us. Our values motivate us every day: we play to win, we’re customer-obsessed and we work as one.

The Role

Focused on our social sustainability strategy, contributing to current targets and advancing our ESG agenda. Developing and delivering our Human Rights Due Diligence programme throughout our supply chain. You’ll have a strong team around you, managing, supporting and developing our Social Sustainability Coordinator and in-country teams, who will work with you to identify social impacts of our business across our value chain, acting to measure, monitor and remediate.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

* Develop and implement the company's social sustainability strategy aligned with our overall sustainability goals.
* Define and develop country strategy programmes, monitor current issues and trends, focus on factory remediation, visits and audit analysis.
* Manage relationships and the global audit programme with in-country partners.
* Review salient risks and update strategy priorities annually.
* Propose and deliver projects based on identified risks within our supply chain.
* Monitor and evaluate social sustainability programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure adherence to ethical standards and social compliance.
* Develop strong relationships with ethical trade/sustainability managers in key suppliers to drive proactive engagement and improvements.
* Oversee supplier setups and factory registrations, coordinating with the Sustainability Coordinator.
* Implement systems to monitor supplier performance monthly, analyze results, and plan improvements.
* Review and update supplier manuals, sharing updates on processes and policies.
* Represent New Look at industry initiatives, managing projects and relationships with campaign groups, NGOs, and stakeholders.
* Lead the Modern Slavery Working Group, planning and implementing initiatives with the Head of Sustainability.
* Oversee data systems and reporting, including the annual Sustainability Report, Modern Slavery Statement, and other indices.
* Develop and manage training and communication strategies for our teams on social sustainability.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing New Look externally when needed.
* Manage POs, invoices for memberships and projects.
* Maintain and refresh factory data lists biannually.
* Stay updated on industry developments, legislative changes, and present solutions to teams.

Technical Knowledge & Behaviours

* Experience in a commercial environment with knowledge of human rights, sustainability, SDGs, and standards.
* Strong knowledge of global human rights issues.
* Experience in managing, mentoring, or coaching roles.
* Experience with in-country supplier and project visits.
* Background in social sustainability within fashion retail, consultancy, or NGOs.
* Experience with social audits and methodologies.
* Ability to analyze complex information and make decisions.
