Emergency Response Programme Delivery Manager

Location: Service Delivery Centre, Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (3 days in the office a week Bradford)

Work type: 18-24 Month Fixed Term Contract, 37 hours per week, Monday Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Response Programme Delivery Manager to join the Central Control Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

With £19 million in secured funding, this is a high-priority initiative that goes far beyond compliance. Its about building resilience, enhancing emergency response, and embedding innovation into the heart of our logistics and operations.

Where you fit in:

As our Emergency Response Programme Delivery Manager, you will:

* Lead and motivate a small team of direct reports and SMEs to ensure they perform effectively in their roles to successfully deliver the SEMD enhancement program and outcomes aligned with the price control deliverable.
* Proactively develop SEMD awareness and capability across the teams by facilitating workshops, sharing lessons learned, and ensuring stakeholders are upskilled on new services.
* Support internal and external audit/assurance reviews, addressing recommendations and embedding lessons learned into delivery.
* Work collaboratively within the wider YW organisation to ensure that specific risks and compliance areas are fully scoped and addressed.
* To oversee and manage process build and design across the various workstreams within the programme.
* Identify and monitor risks across the programme, planning and implementing responses to them.
* Manage the project and programme budget on behalf of senior stakeholders / sponsors and monitor costs against forecast.
* Ensure that the benefits realisation plan is closely managed, communicated and integrated with the wider programme to ensure effective forecasting of future performance for business planning and stakeholder management.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

* Experience with procurement and contract management for high-value infrastructure or capability investments.
* Positive and pragmatic approach to achieving results.
* Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
* Commercially and financially astute.
* Proven track record of managing multiple high value/high profile programs.
* Ability to engage and challenge stakeholders.
* Well-developed communication, report writing and presentation skills.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with others.
* Direct experience of portfolio, programme and project delivery.
* Stakeholder Management and influencing skills.

You will also benefit from having:

* Qualified in project management disciplines e.g. APM, Managing Successful Programmes, Prince 2, Agile A project, or programme management qualification
* Familiarity with utility resilience frameworks (e.g. PR24, AMPs and SEMD)
