Employment Law Solicitor (NQ - 2 Years PQE) - Belfast Location: Belfast Department: Employment Law About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Employment Law Solicitor with up to 2 years PQE to join a respected Belfast-based practice specialising in employee-side work. The team provides high-quality advice and representation to employees, workers, and trade union members across a broad range of employment law matters. This role offers an excellent platform to develop advocacy skills, gain tribunal experience, and build a varied caseload under supportive supervision. The Role You will work closely with experienced solicitors, contributing to a diverse range of employment law matters, while developing your expertise and confidence in client-facing and tribunal work. Key responsibilities include: Advising and assisting clients on unfair dismissal, discrimination, equal pay, redundancy, harassment, TUPE, contractual disputes, and Working Time Regulations. Drafting claim forms, correspondence, witness statements, settlement agreements, and tribunal documentation. Supporting Employment Tribunal preparation and hearings, including research, document management, and liaising with clients and counsel. Developing strong client relationships through clear communication, empathy, and professionalism. Contributing to the growth and success of the employment law practice through proactive case management and teamwork. Person Specification Solicitor qualified in Northern Ireland (or equivalent) with NQ to 2 years PQE, ideally with some exposure to employment law. Strong drafting, research, analytical, and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to client care. Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Interest in employee-side employment law and tribunal advocacy.
