Senior Residential Support Worker Up to £34,145 per year Location: Chipping (North of Preston)
Salary: Up to £34,145 per annum (Base £30,545 incl. £40 per sleep-in + up to £3,600 performance bonus)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (paid sleep-ins at £50)
Were partnering with a well-established provider of therapeutic childrens services to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Residential Support Worker. Youll play a key role in the daily operations of a small, supportive childrens home for young people aged 818 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Your Role This is a leadership position that requires professionalism, empathy, and accountability. Youll support and guide your team while ensuring the home operates smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts, handovers, and team meetings
Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers
Maintain up-to-date care documentation (risk assessments, care and behaviour plans)
Participate in LAC reviews, PEP meetings, and multi-agency discussions
Produce clear and accurate reports for professionals
Support therapeutic routines and ensure safeguarding practices are consistently followed
Manage petty cash, shift planning, and daily household tasks
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 12 months recent experience in a childrens residential home
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete it with full support)
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and supervision practices
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK and minimum 3 years UK residency (for funded training eligibility)
