Duolingo

Do you want to learn languages but don't have the time? Perhaps it's the cost of the latest language learning software is putting you off, and language tutors don't come cheap either. So what do you do? Give up? No need, not now there's Duolingo.

Duolingo is set up as a game: There are levels to overcome, lingots to be earnt and then spent at the lingot store, prizes to win and lives to preserve

What's more, the site is completely free and void of irritating adverts too. How come? Well during your learning you have the opportunity to join the Duolingo community in translating real life articles that people have uploaded to Duolingo and will then pay for once the community has fully translated the article.

The site even has an app for your smartphone so you can be sure to take advantage of otherwise dead time - any queue you happen to be in, or bus journey you're undertaking you can get ahead in your language learning.

Click the 'Source article' button to go straight to the Duolingo site!
