Most of us ship off to University to improve our education with the hope, or indeed expecation that we will gain employment and make a good, honest living. However, for female students, their salary expectations for after graduating are 9% less than those of their male counterparts, according to recently published research from the University of Huddersfield.

The same study, conducted at two british Business schools between 2011 and 2013, found that first year students salary expectations were also higher than students closer to graduating. It's thought this gap comes down to final year students' increased awareness of the labout market.
