Family support worker schools job description

As a Family Support Worker in schools, your primary responsibility is to provide assistance and support to children and their families who are facing various challenges. This role demands liaising with external agencies and school staff to ensure the child's well-being and progress. You will work closely with families, helping them to deal with issues such as illness, domestic violence, or financial difficulties, which may affect their child’s school life. Your goal is to create a safe and positive environment that fosters the child’s development and learning. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, patience, resilience, and a deep understanding of child protection issues.
