A leading food retailer and wholesaler in the North West of England is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to oversee the Buying and Category Strategy for one of their Protein ranges. The company are a winner of multiple awards for their products and service and have won awards in recognition of the way the treat their employees.
About the Role
The jobholder will be accountable for developing and bringing to market a profitable category range using their excellent market and product knowledge. With responsibility for fresh and frozen meat ranges, you will be required to identify and source new suppliers as well as optimising terms with the current supply base. The role will involve a significant amount of sourcing, innovating and developing products for their own label ranges as well as managing relationships with the large processors and suppliers in both the UK and Internationally.
About you
With Buying / Trading experience in the FMCG Retail or Food manufacturing sector, you will have complete freedom and autonomy to manage your category from top to bottom and have a proven track record of building strong relationships with suppliers and implementing the category strategy to maximise sales.
