INTRO
V Selective are recruiting on a behalf of a GOOD rated, Midlands based Training provider organisation. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Learner Recruitment Officer to join them at their Telford (Shropshire) site.
As a Learner Recruitment Officer you will:
* Recruit students onto training programmes
* Ensure the programme is appropriate for students recruited
* Provide good CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) to students
* Safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Ideally you will have exprience working in a Recruitment or Learner Engagement role, however you will need the following attributes and skills:
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to persuade & influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour
* Ability to build rapport with target group
* Ability to present to groups
* Ability to ‘cold-call’
* Ability to to work well under pressure, and to targets & deadlines
* Possessing excellent organisation skills
* Competent in use of IT
* Have working knowledge of social media (Facebook, Twitter)
THE ROLE
* To undertake activities that result in students being recruited and starting on training programmes, including; marketing, outreach, contacts with local agencies, training providers and other referral sources, recruitment initiatives & attending/hosting recruitment fairs/local events/pop up shops/networking meetings etc.
* To have a good understanding of all provision pathways, eligibility, and student characteristics
* To identify barriers and support needs and compile initial support plans for students
* Use of social media to raise Juniper’s profile
* Interviewing potential starts and accurately completing supporting paperwork
* Host information sessions for potential new starts
* Ensure centre start targets are met
* To maintain a database of referral sources and manage those relationships to gain further business
* To develop effective links with schools to promote pathways and Apprenticeships and support implementation of the Baker clause
* To support/attend local and national career events
* Work in partnership with the Apprenticeship Recruitment Consultants to ensure centre targets are met
* Manage own Outlook diary in order to meet all responsibilities and targets
* To identify Safeguarding issues and follow the Safeguarding and Prevent process.
