Job Description: My client is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence in the road freight industry.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to identify and secure new business opportunities in the freight market.
* Prospect and engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, industry associations, and referrals.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their transportation needs and providing customized solutions to meet their requirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, pricing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of services and exceed client expectations.
* Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for expansion.
* Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to win new business and achieve sales targets.
* Stay updated on transportation regulations, market dynamics, and technological advancements to remain competitive in the industry.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our services and expand professional network.
