About The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser- Nutmeg Boyswear, Menswear & Back to School to join our team for Nutmeg based at our head office in Coalville (Leicestershire).
You’ll support the merchandiser in the planning, purchasing, intake and distribution of merchandise to maximise sales and margin for the department whilst ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department. Ultimately this will lead you to taking responsibility for designated departments.
What will I do as an Assistant Merchandiser at Nutmeg?
* Develop positive working relationships with all suppliers, ensuring fully conversant with all orders passing through the system working closely with the buying team
* You'll communicate and work closely with suppliers about the status of orders to help to ensure the critical path is kept up to date and accurate, highlighting any issues to the Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser
* Provide support on any administrative duties for the department
* Review weekly sales performance and stock volumes to identify any opportunities and highlight any issues
* Prepare any reports requested for weekly trading
* Assist in the department strategy, demonstrating an understanding of the merchandising figures

About The Company
Nutmeg has been trading for 11 years and has grown from a Children’s clothing retailer to doing Womenswear and most recently Menswear. The Nutmeg team focuses on listening to our customers to put the best ranges in stores based on trends, seasonality, store demographic and event calendars, and the merchandising team plays a key role in all of these decision making processes. You will work on a team of 8 people including Merchandising, Buying and Design to develop and land several ranges a season.
