Cut Media, an award-winning sports content agency based in Glasgow, is currently recruiting a Senior Producer to provide maternity leave cover. This role will begin in June 2024 and is expected to run until the end of April 2025.
We’re looking for a super-organised, proactive senior producer to join our team to oversee our productions as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in on some projects of your own.
With a passion for sports and adventure, you’ll have a strong drive to get the job done efficiently and cost-effectively every time, bringing your experience in sports content to this busy, challenging role. This will be a full-on role, but your excellent multi-tasking skills, coupled with your proactivity and commercial acumen, mean you’ll find it rewarding and fulfilling.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The key responsibilities of this role are:
* Manage and lead productions from concept to delivery
* Produce and manage budgets, with a keen eye for detail
* Mentor and support junior team members
* Allocate and oversee projects to the rest of Production team
* Manage the project slate and forecast production support
* Work closely with the Creative team from pitch stage to manage client expectations, budget and schedule parameters, presenting proposals alongside the Creatives and Director when required
* Utilise budgets creatively, negotiating crew rates and ensuring best use of internal and external resources, keeping a close eye on the bottom line
* Manage local and international shoots and crews both on location and remotely, ensuring legal, contractual, insurance and safety processes are implemented and
* documented accordingly
* Collaborate with Post Production team to plan edit schedules and delivery of assets
* All aspects of Production-related admin, including budget reconciliation, target margins and client invoicing, as well as project forecasting and future planning
* Edit produce projects alongside our Creatives and support the post-production team during the final stages of a project
* Liaise with Senior Leadership Team to ensure contractual, legal and insurance obligations are fulfilled for all productions

From our studio in Glasgow, you’ll be working as a key member of our close-knit team on your own projects as well as offering support to your colleagues. Reporting to our CEO, you’ll excel at bringing the best team for the project together, number crunching budgets and being able to keep one eye on the little details whilst the other is focused on the bigger picture.
We’re an innovative end-to-end creative agency, so you’ll take projects from creative development to post-production and delivery. Whether you’re contributing to pitches, seamlessly organising and running shoots or delivering edits on time, you’ll be working to the highest possible standard.
As our production slate is chock-full of exciting sports projects, you must have demonstrable experience of working with athletes and/or sports brands and have a keen personal interest in sports.

* 2+ years experience as a Senior Producer, ideally at a production company/agency
* Experience creating and managing budgets, with past responsibility for delivering projects on budget
* Proven experience in managing international shoots and crews
* Proven experience of on-set production of branded, commercial and documentary shoots
* Experience producing branded content Good technical knowledge of post-production processes, archive and music clearance, permits, insurance, contracts and safety, as well as demonstrable experience with asset deliveries, ideally for both online and broadcast
* A great diary of contacts and relationships within the industry
* Knowledge of and interest in the outdoor sports industry, particularly cycling
* A positive attitude and drive to create great work with great people - you’ll be adept at collaborating as part of a team and multi-tasking across multiple projects.

The salary range for this role is £37 - £40K, dependent on experience.
