My Wolverhampton based client is looking for an Assistant Book-Keeper to join their forward thinking business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accurately record and maintain sales transactions, raising invoices, and posting/allocating receipts.
2. Support with both purchase and sales ledger
3. Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
4. Monitor and chase outstanding payments.
5. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer accounts.
6. Implement effective credit control procedures to minimise overdue payments.
7. Contact customers to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue accounts.
8. Maintain accurate records of all communication and payment arrangements.
9. Collaborate with the team to prepare month-end reports, reconciliations, and journals.
10. May be required to reconcile the bank accounts, claim the monthly VAT (therefore VAT law and compliance knowledge is required)
11. Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
12. liaising with the Company's external accountants and auditors.
