The Events & PR Manager will Lead the strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of all events and manage the full lifecycle, from identifying the event requirements and expectations with key stakeholders at various levels to post-event reporting.
The Events will range from 15 people through to 300 (both UK and USA)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Program and content schedules for events, with execution plans and communication strategies for their delivery
• Develop & execute best-in-class customer experiences to build brand awareness, deliver value, increase revenue.
• Work with the marketing team to maintain a consistent brand identity across all events.
• Experiment with new and creative ways to leverage growth and community engagement
• Create and manage event specific schedules, timelines, briefings and other operational reports needed - successfully communicate these details to the wider team.
• Coordinate and attend international recce trips to create and secure event programmes and venues
• In consultant with the Head of PR and Events source and commission international creative agencies, production agencies and catering companies
• In consultant with the Head of PR & Events manage the tender process and negotiate the best possible rates with all suppliers for relevant project
• Production management. Including but not limited to: Booking briefings and managing event suppliers such as AV, Graphics, Catering, talent, agency staff etc
• Keep up to date on trends, make recommendations for doing things differently.
REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS
• 4 + years’ Event experience (particularly with UK and International)
• Must be prepared to travel (UK and International)
• Ability to manage multiple projects, with extensive event experience in large-scale events (international event management is advantageous)
• Be able to demonstrate and have experience of managing a productive team as well as managing all staff in the lead up and on-site at events.
• Ability to meet tight and sometimes changing deadlines, acting professionally and seamlessly throughout.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail including excellent grammar and spelling.
• Highly organised, methodical and Multitasker
• Commercial awareness and acumen
• Ability to source and negotiate with suppliers.
