Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEMH Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at one of our partner schools in Morden.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in overcoming behavioral challenges.
Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other professionals to implement and monitor individualized behavior plans.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting emotional well-being and social development.
Implement de-escalation and behavior management strategies to create a supportive and calm learning environment.
Collaborate with external agencies and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to student support.
Monitor and record student progress, contributing to the development of personalized intervention strategies.
Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture that recognizes and values the unique strengths of each student.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or behavioral support (desired).
Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.
Understanding of behavior management strategies and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
