Key Responsibilities:
* Manage timely delivery of procurement activities, guiding non-procurement stakeholders through the process.
* Build a culture of long-term cost savings and measure savings and value delivered.
* Ensure efficient sequencing of procurement activities and maintain a forward work plan.
* Create specifications, pricing documents, contracts, and other tender documentation.
* Maximise value for money and improve the commercial and financial well-being of the business.
* Manage the new e-procurement solution and promote its use within the organisation.
* Identify and manage key risks and advise the Head of Department.
* Develop a strong culture of teamwork and embed policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
1. MCIPS qualified or part qualified with equivalent experience.
2. Proven success in a Procurement Officer, Procurement Consultant, or Procurement Manager role.
3. Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement, including public procurement regulations.
4. Experience in procuring a broad range of goods, works, and services.
5. Experience in procuring via frameworks.
6. Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.
7. Sound knowledge of contracts and the legal framework.
8. Experience guiding non-procurement practitioners through the procurement process.
