Job Summary:We are looking for an outgoing and pragmatic junior naval architect / CAD designer with attention to detail and accuracy to join our friendly team based in modern offices. A strong team player with a proactive approach. Well organised with excellent communication skills. The work is varied and would include general arrangement and detail fit out design, weight estimating, stability and general engineering.Responsibilities:- Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD software- Assist in the preparation of design plans, layouts, and schematics- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to understand project requirements- Conduct research and gather relevant information to support design decisions- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards- Maintain organised project files and documentation- Participate in project meetings and provide input as neededRequirements:- Honours degree in Naval Architecture- Minimum one year post-graduate work experience- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino 3D- Experience in Superyacht and power craft design- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesBenefits:- Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications- Enhanced pension- Five weeks' holiday plus bank holidays- Discretionary bonus- Modern open plan offices- Opportunity for progression and CPD- Regular developmental reviews
