Requirements for the Unit Nurse Manager role:
Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN)
Active NMC PIN
Clear DBS
Evidence of continued professional development
Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning
About the Nursing Home:
The home is located to the north of Plymouth and is convenient for public transport.
This is a purpose built care home providing nursing and social care for older people who are physically frail, and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease.
The home has several lounges for relaxation and separate dining rooms, where residents can enjoy the company of others at meal times. Residents are served traditional home cooked food using fresh produce with a daily menu choice.

The role of a Unit Nurse Manager within the Nursing Home involves:
Being responsible for leading, directing and supporting the Nursing and Care team
Managing rotas, ensuring there is sufficient cover at all times
Actively recruit and maintain good staffing levels
Mentoring junior members of staff
Ensuring all staff complete mandatory and required training
Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
Ensuring Unit is compliant with CQC and internal policies
Managing and monitor medication processes and compliance
Completing all relevant audits to ensure internal and external compliance
