Wildfire Engagement Officer

We are looking for two people to work as part of the Lancashire Peat Partnership team focusing on reducing the risk of wildfires across the West Pennine Moors
This seasonal role offers an opportunity to help protect the precious habitats of the West Pennine Moors from devastating wildfires. A physical presence at key points across the Moors are designed to help reduce the risk of a fire breaking out, educational outreach will build resilience for the future, and patrols will help reduce the response time of any fire events that do occur.
Working 28 hours over seven days a week, patrolling high risk areas as well as engaging with visitors, residents and recreational users to educate and inform on responsible behaviours on the moors.You will be required to work under your own initiative with confidence and reliability.
