Business Development Manager
In Brief
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to work with us on a full-time basis. Based in the UK within a commuting distance from Brighton (several times a month), we are looking for an experienced BDM for our UK and International account management delivery. You will be accountable for managing and growing a portfolio of global corporate clients, consisting of large market leading International Private Medical Insurers (iPMI), travel insurers and multinational employers.
You will cultivate long lasting relationships and being a trusted advisor to bring value to our client’s businesses through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance, and the ability to drive commercial growth within a portfolio.
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch), 40hrs/week
Annual salary: £55-60,000 pa
Work mode: Hybrid (one day in our Brighton office).
Role and Responsibilities
* Coordination and communication with other Teladoc Health global offices when
* To manage the corporate accounts assigned to you, including contract, retention, renewal, expansion and pricing discussions
* Work with and develop strong professional relationships with internal colleagues/stakeholders in the IT, Legal, Operations, Marketing and Clinical departments to deliver the highest level of customer care for our clients
* Ensure targets & objectives set and agreed with the General Manager and Senior Account Manager are met, both personal and business.
* Develop long term mutually beneficial relationships, both internally and externally
* To represent Teladoc Health as a thoroughly professional organisation and a global leader in Virtual Care by ensuring diligent preparation for calls and meetings and clear follow-up and after sales support
* Develop and maintain Account Plans within the portfolio
* Earn and keep each client’s respect and confidence as a trusted advisor bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance, a clear understanding of the business at a variety of levels and the ability to develop a range of ideas and solutions.
* To prepare and present appropriate account performance, utilisation reports and sales material often to the highest management levels using full graphic capabilities, marketing and sales aids
* Demonstrate our Mobile Applications (App) as well as other online services to clients face-to-face and remotely via conference call facilities
* To be an integral part of the RFP processes and the subsequent implementation post win including all project items ranging from contract management, technology implementation through to financial management.
* Play an active support role in new business presentations/pitches representing Teladoc Health UK, including but not limited to presenting specific information relating to the account management function & how this supports the client requirements.
* Ensure that all central sales documents are updated regularly & accurately, this includes corporate renewal plans, and sales pipelines
* Provide support as and when needed to any regional and global initiatives to ensure the delivery of the overall Teladoc Health strategy
* Take an active role in business-wide projects related to Corporate Account Management and Marketing
* Communicating to clients clearly, addressing their concerns and resolving any conflict that arises
* Contributing information to sales strategies by assessing current portfolio results as well as monitoring performance of each service and product at client level.
* Drive through business development opportunities to ensure the pipeline delivery/targets
Skill Requirements/Preferences
* Minimum 5 years previous experience in working within an Account Manager role
* Experience of working in the virtual health, or insurance/private medical insurance or broker market
* Demonstrable track record of working with. and delivering value to. multinational corporate clients through effective account management
* Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across a variety of geographies and time zones
* Total proficiency with Microsoft programmes and ability to adapt to and learn new processes, technology and software packages
* Comfortable working independently as well as to contribute to the team.
* Strong geographical knowledge and awareness of different cultures and the benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
* A strong understanding of data/reporting
* Results orientated and customer/account focused
* Adapts well to change
* Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
* Good judgment and decision making skills
* Additional languages would be an advantage
