Commissioning Engineer (Electrical or Instrument) – Teesside
My client provides engineering services to a range of industry sectors across the process, instrument, electrical & control system integration disciplines.
Their business activities are carried out in the following principal sectors:
* Bulk Tank Storage.
* Chemical Manufacturing.
* High Integrity Power Supplies.
* Novel Projects.
They require a commissioning engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. The role requires travel throughout the UK but will be based at their office on Teesside.
Role:
* Maintaining inventory of calibration equipment.
* Be responsible for the upkeep of their workshop.
* Inspection, calibration and function checking of instrumentation and equipment on delivery and prior to shipping to client’s site.
* Writing of test plans and procedures.
* Attendance at clients sites to perform inspection, testing and commissioning activities, often with other engineers but also lone working.
* Working to in house and client’s stringent health & safety policies. A large number of their clients operate COMAH sites.
* Performing factory acceptance testing of motor control centres, switchgear and control panels at their panel builder’s factory.
Requirements:
* An instrument or electrical apprenticeship, or higher level technical qualification, with post qualification experience aligning with the requirement for potential lone working.
