We would like to recruit a Team Leader to join our operational management team at the Talking Therapies service in East Hertfordshire. This is an NHS Primary Care service providing CBT and CBT informed assessment and treatment to anyone over 16 in our area with mild to moderate common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression.

Main duties of the job
The Talking Therapies Team Leader will work in collaboration with the Service Manager and our existing team leaders to ensure that the highest possible standards of practice and service delivery are maintained. As part of this, the post-holder will have a key role of managing clinical and non-clinical operational systems and processes within the team
You will use their management experience to lead on service changes and developments.
You will lead a multi disciplinary team, with involvement of service coordination, staff wellbeing, supervision, client support, complaints and service improvement

Job description
Job responsibilities
To plan, prioritise and manage the delivery of care management, including initial assessments and treatment to service users within the Wellbeing team.
To oversee referral flow and ensure that there is an even and appropriate distribution of work across the team, based on the experience of team members.
To provide day-to-day management, leadership and supervision to an integrated team of primary care therapists and clinicians, social worker and team administrators, trainee staff and students.
To be responsible to respond to the peaks and troughs of referrals in order of delivering service targets. This may range from service promotion, initiating workshops, to managing high demand and service flow. To provide operational supervision as agreed with the service manager.
To oversee that supervision is provided according to policy and develop and maintain effective oversight systems.To provide professional leadership to the team in order to ensure robust clinical governance.
To effectively manage all aspects of the teams time ie duty rota, time worked, annual leave via the E-Roster system.
To implement and monitor relevant operational policies and protocols, team systems and processes for the effective operation of the team.

* Masters level qualification in management or management-related discipline or equivalent level of knowledge gained through management experience.
