About the Industrial Food Sales Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to proactively manage key accounts which includes client visits, identifying gaps and resolving product issues raised.
Key tasks
* Identify customer needs and opportunities to maintain and expand the business.
* Organise and lead sales meetings, trade events, and review sessions to improve the team's performance.
* Have a technical understanding of the technical requirements of the food manufacturers processes and the product being sold.
* Conduct competitor and market research to enhance competitive advantage.
* Successfully drive growth in both turnover and profitability.
About You
You will have a proven food manufacturing sales background of at least 10 years, with a strategic approach to sales and a customer focused approach to sales as well as a consistent professionalism. At least 5 years managerial experience managing a team of 3 or more salespeople selling product throughout the UK.
* Motivated and industrious self-starter and the ability to motivate, develop and coach a sales team.
* Would relish the opportunity of starting a sales team and growing sales from the ground up.
* Strong leadership and communication skills at all levels and excellent organisational skills.
* Have flexibility for travel where necessary.
