Programme Lead/lead Tutor - Edinburgh, United Kingdom - First Psychology Ltd
Description
Background and Purpose of Role
First Psychology is a leading independent provider of counselling, psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions.
We have expanded rapidly over the last five years and now operate 13 centres across Scotland and Northern England in addition to an online portal (First Psychology Online) providing a range of services to clients.
We provide services to self-referred clients (direct to consumer) who include individual adults, couples, families and children.
We also operate a growing and commercially focused B2B service, First Psychology Assistance, providing therapy, training and consultancy to businesses, organisations and legal referrers.
Our current clients include those in the finance, oil and gas, professional services and education sectors.
First Psychology is a pluralistic, dynamic therapy practice.
In recent years we have invested significantly in the development of our own advanced skills academy and online CPD training institute.
In October 2024 we are launching our own part-time professional training Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychological Therapy (DICPT), benchmarked at SCQF level 11 (postgraduate).
To help us launch and deliver this we are now seeking a skilled and experienced practitioner to oversee the final stages of programme development, ensure its effective delivery and work as part of a team towards its professional accreditation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our growing organisation.
The DICPT programme combines a training in humanistic/person-centred therapy with the principles of 'relationally-informed' CBT models (compassion-focused therapy/acceptance and commitment therapy).
It has been developed by a team of practitioners within First Psychology from counselling and applied psychology backgrounds, all of whom are committed to the importance of pluralistic principles and therapeutic excellence.
The post-holder will become a key part of this development team and will lead the delivery of the programme once launched.
The planned nature of the programme will require the post-holder to be available to work some weekends (up to 8 per year), some Thursday evenings, (7-9pm) and to be part of the team supporting a week-long professional development retreat each year.
It will be possible to combine this role with a clinical practice within First Psychology as an employed clinician or in a self-employed clinical role with us.
