The HR Team in Workforce and Organisational Development are looking to recruit a highly experienced, enthusiastic HR generalist to become a key member of their team.
The principal requirements of this role will require the postholder to autonomously oversee a caseload of employee relations cases with opportunities to participate and contribute to the delivery of the health board's people plan. You will provide expert advice to Managers and Senior Leaders on a range of Workforce matters as a key member of the Operational HR Team. In doing so you will ensure that the legal position of the Health Board is not compromised.
Main duties of the job
You will develop and deliver management training to ensure that managers are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to compassionately manage teams. You will be committed to continuously improving people practices, independently and working as part of a team.
You will analyse workforce performance data and identify areas for improvement working closely with Divisional Managers and Workforce Business Partners. You will develop actions aimed at improving performance, recruitment and retention with compassionate, person centred practices.
You will be self-driven, professional in your approach and cognisant with all aspect of Windows and Microsoft Software. You will provide coaching, supervision and support to junior members of the team.

Education, qualifications and experience
Essential
* Post Graduate HRM qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience
* Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) through intermediate study (at level 5 or higher).
* Extensive experience in an HR function within a large complex unionised organisation providing advice and support to managers in a range of complex workforce matters. Specifically in respect of a range of employee relations issues, i.e. disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence management and employment law and case law.
* Well developed written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including senior managers, different professionals and Trade Unions
* Able to influence decisions by persuasion, negotiation, and facilitation and coaching
* Able to demonstrate good organisation and administrative skills
* Good understanding of employment law and good practice and how to advise managers on the application
* Ability to present information in range of formats such as Work, Excel, PowerPoint
Desirable
* Hold a management or training qualification
* MSc HRM qualification or working towards.
* Experience of working within NHS environment
