About the role
This position is within the Computer-aided Materials Discovery Laboratory led by Dr Peyman Z. Moghadam. The project aims at computational designing CO2 capture systems based on solid-adsorption separation.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* The major role of the post holder will design an adsorption-based process/system for CO2 capture in the presence of humidity.
* Understand the structure-property relationship of the MOF materials and different processes e.g. TSA vs. VSA.
* The position will be based in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL East and the Bloomsbury campus of UCL and involve close collaboration with Industry. The post is funded by the Innovate UK.
This is a fixed-term role until 31 March 2025. Salary is at grade 7 between spine points 30-36; £42,099-£49,263 per annum inclusivve of London Allowance.
