About This Position
Our family client are looking for an Accountant to join their friendly team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is an integral part of the Finance / Administration team, and, a key function for the business.
Responsibilities
* Bank Reconciliation
* Managing Sage system
* Complete quarterly management accounts
* Customer direct debit submissions
* Raising sales invoices and statements
* Managing customer credit Insurance and working with Credit Insurers
* Provide detailed, timely and accurate financial reports (Cashflow, Balance Sheet, Fixed Assets, Profit and Loss, Trial Balance and other necessary ad-hoc financial reports)
* Overseeing the Accounts Payable function and authorising payments
* Manage the accounting system to ensure consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts
* Process Payroll & Benefits monthly
* Preparing and submitting VAT Quarterly
* Escalate finance and accounting issues to leadership team when necessary
* Ensure consistency of existing accounting systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures
* Preparing and processing month end journals, accruals, prepayments and stock journal
Experience and Qualifications
1. Qualified Accountant or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (QBE, ...
